The ST5500 integrates a fixed RFID reader and antennas into a single housing, pre-configured and ready to deploy — whether mounted on the wall or suspended from the ceiling. Once installed, it automatically reads RFID-tagged items as they pass through the portal, and determines whether each item is moving in or out of the area, providing valuable data about stock flow and movement direction.
This “transition-point” capability makes it ideal for entry/exit gates, loading docks, warehouse doorways, or any chokepoint where you need to know not just that an item passed, but which way it went. It helps prevent stockouts, theft, or misplacement, and enhances inventory management by adding movement-direction awareness.
